Why STU Exists
True cultural recovery takes more than just remembering the past, it requires spaces to make this possible. Sandile Tukani University exists to ensure that indigenous languages, ideas, stories, and values, models, and historical truths are not treated as secondary footnotes, but as living, functional truths, and viable systems.
The Challenge
Ancient societies and linguistic lines across Southern Africa face a quiet, systemic erosion. Vital historical contexts, naming systems, and deep-level grammatical frameworks are rapidly disappearing without being properly documented or taught. Relying on foreign terminology or outside institutions to protect our history dilutes its true depth.
What We Are Building
We are constructing an institutional framework to reverse this trend. By standardizing native onomastics, restoring ancient fluency streams, and writing original textbooks and reference materials, we are creating a bridge between ancestral wisdom and the modern era.
